Deliverance Church Kabete N
DC KABETE N was birthed from a deep burden the Lord placed upon our hearts Pastor Justus Kubai and his wife Clare after faithfully serving in Deliverance Church Kangemi and Deliverance Church Muthangari between 2002 and 2017.
In obedience to God’s call, we planted a church in N Market, Uthiru. The journey began in a humble, dilapidated room that had formerly operated as a local nightclub infamously known for destroying many lives in the area due to illicit brews. By God’s grace, this space was redeemed, the partitioned walls removed, and transformed into a sanctuary that could squeeze in 85 congregants.
Our first gathering was a prayer meeting on Thursday, June 9, 2017, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, attended by the pastor, his wife, and two visitors. The first Sunday service was held on June 11, 2017, with 11 adults, including the pastor’s family and a few visiting members. The church was officially launched on June 18, 2017, by the Kilimani Sub-regional Overseer, Rev. Ben Luvutse.
From these humble beginnings, the church began to grow steadily through fervent prayer meetings, one-on-one evangelism, open-air crusades, and evening revival meetings. After three years, our initial space could no longer accommodate our increasing numbers, prompting us to relocate.
THE JOURNEY OF FAITH
In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we relocated to a remote, undeveloped forested area with no roads, electricity, or water—a bold step of faith. Many doubted anyone would attend church in such a place. With no resources, we borrowed a 50-seater tent that served as our sanctuary for nearly a year.
Despite the adversity, our faithful members believed in the vision shared by our pastor and remained committed. We began constructing a permanent structure, but the initial steel work was poorly done, and the contractor abandoned the project. For safety reasons, we dismantled the entire structure and started afresh.
Since then, we have gradually continued to build, witnessing God’s miraculous provision and guidance every step of the way. We’ve seen a significant increase in membership and, more importantly, a deepening of spiritual maturity among our members.
